Disneyland

Disneyland is made up of two parks and is located on the opposite side of the country from Disney World in Anaheim, California. Disneyland Park is the first built of the two, opening in 1955 and is the only theme park that was designed and built under direct supervision of Walt Disney himself. Disney California Adventure Park is the second park that is a part of Disneyland.

The original Disneyland Park is broken into eight theme lands which are Main Street, U.S.A., Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, Frontierland, Critter Country, New Orleans Square, and Adventureland. Some its most popular and famous attractions include Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Disneyland also offers many live shows and character interaction and greetings. They are also known for their Main Street Electrical Parade which is a nighttime show full of bright floats!

Disney California Adventure Park opened in 2001 and include seven different lands including Grizzly Peak, Paradise Pier, Pacific Wharf, “a bug’s land”, Hollywood Land, Buena Vista Street, and Cars Land.  These parks are centered around bringing Disney Pixar to life. Some attractions include Radiator Springs Racers, Soarin’ Around the World, and Turtle Talk with Crush.

Disneyland is basically the original but smaller Disney World! It is the perfect place for great family fun!

    I went to DisneyLand as a little kid and thought it was one of the coolest places on earth and I think it attracts a lot of families with small kids. But I went back a couple years ago and something they are great at doing is making the park appropriate for all ages so everybody can enjoy their time there and that to me is a main reason why the park is so successful.
